Application Routes
Primary Route — BCS

We assist with residence and work permits through a company registered as a Company of Foreign Interests.

High-skilled employees generally need:

• a gross monthly salary of at least €2,500;
• a relevant degree or at least 2 years of relevant professional experience;
• an employment contract for 2–3 years.

Other Employment Categories

We also assist with other routes, including employment by a Cypriot company under the general rules, hiring domestic workers such as carers or housekeepers, and cases involving people who already have access to the local labour market. Requirements and procedures depend on the legal basis, employer, and applicant’s status.
What the Permit Provides
• Legal residence and work for the specified employer.
• Changing employer generally requires a new application.
• The permit may be granted for up to 3 years, depending on the category.

Family

Under the applicable policy, high-skilled employees may apply for family reunification. Family members receive their own permits; a spouse’s right to work depends on the permit type and the rules in force.

Important

Visitor status does not permit employment. Working in Cyprus requires the appropriate status and permit. This information is current as of August 2026 and is provided for general guidance; the final decision rests with the Migration Department of the Republic of Cyprus.
